Our philosophy is to build the health of the lawn from the ground up starting with the soil. We correct the deficiencies and physical issues in the soil which leads to healthier, thicker turf and a reduction in new weeds. We introduce beneficial soil microorganisms that improve the living relationship between the turf and the soil. Soil microbes increase the lawn’s capacity to utilize nutrients and create a safety net of protection in times of heat, fungal, or insect caused stress.
Greenway Lawn Care offers a unique hybrid program that combines organic lawn care along with optional conventional weed control. Though there is not an organic way to kill weeds, building the health of your lawn will allow your grass to outcompete weeds once the growing season has begun. Clients looking for additional weed control can choose to have conventional applications along with our organic treatments. Many of our clients chose conventional weed control in the front yard and organic treatments only in the backyard. This setup keeps HOA’s and neighbors pleased while offering a chemical-free backyard for the family to enjoy. Another hybrid option available is to have biannual weed control applications that limit weeds without repeated sprays. We can also set up our hybrid program to include organic treatments together with limited conventional weed control in problem areas.
